The "Big Spring" on Skeggs Creek

The "Big Springs" on Skeggs Creek is mentioned for the first time in the 12 Feb 1798 land survey for Jacob Myers, later patented by William Daugherty, which lay near the mouth of Skeggs Creek.

The spring is also mentioned in a 14 Nov 1849 survey for Holbert McClure II.
